Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Effective: August 27, 2026 for merchants with an existing account on July 28, 2026. The changes in this version apply immediately to accounts created on or after July 28, 2026.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the permitted, restricted, and prohibited uses of the PD CASH payment orchestration platform ("Platform"). All merchants and users must comply with it. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Uses

You may use the Platform to:

  • Process legitimate payment transactions for lawful goods and services
  • Route transactions through connected payment providers and channel partners
  • Generate payment links for customer invoicing
  • Access transaction analytics, reports, and dashboards
  • Integrate our API into your applications
  • Connect your own payment gateway API keys (BYOK)
  • Manage withdrawals according to your plan terms

3. Restricted Categories — Permitted Only After Review

Some business categories are neither freely permitted nor prohibited. They may be onboarded only after PD CASH review and channel-partner approval, and only for as long as the conditions below are met. Approval is granted per account, per business model, and per region, and may be withdrawn if the conditions stop being met. Operating a restricted category without approval, or outside the scope of an approval, is a breach of this AUP.

PD CASH maintains a category schedule setting out which categories are eligible, which are eligible only subject to conditions, and which are prohibited. The current schedule is published in your account dashboard, forms part of this AUP, and is incorporated into it by reference. The schedule is updated from time to time; the version available in your dashboard when a transaction is submitted is the version that applies to it.

3.1 Conditions that apply to every restricted category

  • A current, verifiable licence, registration, or authorisation for every jurisdiction you serve, with evidence supplied on request and before expiry
  • Geo-blocking that prevents access to and payment for your service from any jurisdiction in which you are not authorised to offer it
  • Age and eligibility verification completed before payment wherever the category or the jurisdiction requires it
  • Accurate billing descriptors, and clear service, pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms shown before payment is taken
  • Documented rights to sell, distribute, or resell everything you list, evidenced on request
  • A working support and complaints contact, and prompt action on any valid rights-holder, consumer, or regulator complaint
  • No claim, marketing, listing, or packaging that misrepresents the product, its origin, its licensing, or its results

3.2 Conditions PD CASH may attach to an approval

Where a restricted category is approved, PD CASH or the channel partner may attach conditions including reserves, volume caps, settlement delays, enhanced transaction monitoring, additional documentation, or periodic re-review. Those conditions form part of your approval and may be varied on reasonable notice.

If your business sits in a restricted category, disclose it during route review. Failing to disclose it is treated as misrepresentation of your business under Section 5.1.

3.3 Payment method availability by category

Approval of a business category does not approve every payment method. The free plan’s Cash App and crypto routes are available to every category that is eligible, or restricted and approved, under this Policy — including digital shops, digital goods sellers, licensed IPTV and content-distribution businesses, and agent resellers. The Premium plan, and the additional methods it enables — Chime, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal — are available to iGaming businesses only. Those methods are enabled by the supporting channel partner after you complete the plan upgrade application in your account, and after extended KYC verification where the partner requires it.

iGaming means online casino, sportsbook, poker and comparable gaming operators. It is a restricted category under this Section: eligible after review and channel-partner approval, on a current gaming licence for every jurisdiction served and subject to the conditions in 3.1. Being in a supported category is the starting point, not an approval. Method availability is set out in the Terms of Service and may be changed at any time by the partner that supports a method.

4. Prohibited Business Categories

You may not use the Platform to process payments for the following:

  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
  • Weapons, ammunition, or explosives (where prohibited by law)
  • Human trafficking or exploitation of any kind
  • Child exploitation material or services
  • Terrorism or terrorist financing
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or multi-level marketing scams
  • Counterfeit goods or intellectual property infringement
  • Unlicensed pharmaceutical products
  • Adult content, adult services, and sexually oriented live streaming or subscription content
  • Unlicensed money transmission, currency exchange, or payment aggregation, and crypto mixing, tumbling, or anonymising services
  • Unregistered securities offerings, binary options, contracts for difference where prohibited, and unlicensed investment or fund-management schemes
  • Credit repair, debt settlement, debt elimination, payday lending, and advance-fee loan services
  • Sale of personal data, credentials, or account access, and hacking, DDoS-for-hire, or surveillance-for-hire services
  • Pirated media, cracked software, licence-key generators, and technical protection circumvention devices
  • Tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping products, alcohol, kratom, and CBD or other hemp-derived products
  • Gift-card resale, prepaid-card loading, cash-equivalent instruments, and money-order services
  • Essay mills, forged or fraudulent documents, identity documents, and paid fake reviews or engagement
  • Unregistered charitable solicitation and political fundraising where registration is required
  • Any business located in, or primarily serving, a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction
  • Services designed to facilitate illegal activities
  • Any goods or services that are illegal in the buyer's or the seller's jurisdiction

This list is read together with Section 3. A category listed in Section 3 is restricted, not prohibited, and may be operated where you hold the licences, rights, and approvals required for every jurisdiction you serve. Where an activity is lawful in some jurisdictions and not in others, the prohibition applies to the jurisdictions where it is unlawful and you must geo-block them.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not engage in the following activities on our Platform:

5.1 Fraudulent activities

  • Processing transactions with stolen or unauthorized payment credentials
  • Creating fraudulent or fictitious transactions
  • Card testing or BIN attacks using our payment infrastructure
  • Misrepresenting the nature of transactions, your business model, or your business category
  • Processing transactions for which goods or services will not be delivered
  • Identity theft or impersonation

5.2 Money laundering and financial crime

  • Using the Platform to launder proceeds of criminal activity
  • Structuring transactions to avoid reporting thresholds
  • Processing payments to or from sanctioned individuals or entities
  • Financing terrorism or the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction

5.3 Technical abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or to other accounts
  • Introducing malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Performing denial-of-service attacks or load testing without authorization
  • Scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction without permission
  • Reverse engineering or decompiling Platform software
  • Circumventing security measures, rate limits, or access controls
  • Using the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications

5.4 Platform abuse

  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
  • Manipulating transaction data or analytics
  • Exploiting Platform features in unintended ways for unfair advantage
  • Reselling or sublicensing Platform access without authorization
  • Exceeding documented API rate limits or usage quotas

6. Transaction Integrity

All transactions routed through the Platform must:

  • Represent genuine sales of goods or services
  • Be authorized by the legitimate account holder
  • Accurately describe the goods or services being purchased, and use an accurate billing descriptor
  • Comply with applicable payment network rules
  • Not be processed for the purpose of obtaining cash advances
  • Not be split to avoid transaction limits or detection thresholds

7. Chargeback Thresholds

Merchants must maintain acceptable chargeback ratios. We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend accounts exceeding a 1% chargeback ratio
  • Require an additional security deposit for elevated chargeback rates
  • Terminate accounts with persistent excessive chargebacks
  • Withhold withdrawals pending chargeback resolution

8. API Usage

When using our API, you must:

  • Keep API keys confidential and server-side
  • Not share API credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Respect documented rate limits and usage quotas
  • Implement proper error handling and retry logic
  • Not use the API to perform load testing without prior approval
  • Promptly rotate credentials if a compromise is suspected

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, report it through the contact form at pd.cash/contact#contact-form using the subject "AUP Report".

  • Include the account, payment link, website, or transaction reference concerned, and a description of what you observed
  • We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and investigate promptly
  • Anonymous reports are accepted, though they are harder to investigate and we cannot report back on the outcome
  • We do not disclose a reporter's identity to the reported party except where the law requires it
  • Where the conduct appears to be criminal, report it to law enforcement as well as to us

10. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • A warning and a request for corrective action
  • Temporary suspension of the account, of withdrawals, or of both
  • Permanent termination of the account
  • Deduction from the security deposit to cover chargebacks, fines, or losses
  • Reporting to law enforcement authorities where appropriate
  • Legal action to recover damages

We may act immediately and without prior notice where a violation is severe, threatens Platform integrity, involves suspected illegal activity, or is required by a channel partner, network, regulator, or court.

11. Appeals

If your account is suspended, restricted, or terminated under this AUP, you may appeal.

  • Submit the appeal within 30 days of the decision through the contact form using the subject "AUP Appeal"
  • Say what you believe was decided wrongly, and attach supporting evidence such as licences, distribution or rights documentation, corrected disclosures, or remediation you have completed
  • The appeal is reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision
  • We respond within 15 business days. Where a channel partner's decision is involved, we tell you and route the appeal to that partner
  • A suspension remains in force while the appeal is reviewed
  • Where the suspension arises from suspected illegal activity, a sanctions match, or a legal, regulatory, or partner requirement, it remains in force regardless of the appeal outcome unless that requirement is lifted
  • If the appeal succeeds, we restore access and remove the violation record from your account file

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Where a change is material, we give at least 30 days' advance notice by email and by dashboard notice before it takes effect. Other changes are posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
